This policy explains what Escape Plan Software Ltd ("we", "us") collects when you use our apps and this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to every app we publish unless an app links to its own policy.

Who we are

Escape Plan Software Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17262078, with its registered office at Suite 10906, 5 Brayford Square, London E1 0SG, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at hello@escapeplan.software.

What our apps collect

Our apps do not ask you to create an account. What they collect depends on the features you use:

• Purchases and subscriptions. Payments are handled by the app store, not by us. We receive a purchase receipt and an anonymous identifier so the app can unlock what you paid for and restore it on your other devices. We never see your card details.
• Usage analytics. We collect which screens and features are used, session length, crashes, device model, operating system version, app version, country, and language. This data is tied to a random device identifier, not to your name or email.
• AI features. When you use a feature that relies on an AI model, the content you provide for that feature (for example text you type or a photo you pick) is sent to an AI provider through our servers to produce the result. We do not use this content to train models, and we do not keep it longer than needed to return the result and diagnose failures.
• Support messages. If you email us, we keep the message and your email address so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.

What this website collects

This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics scripts, and does not track you. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, requested page, browser type) for security and to keep the site running.

Why we use this data

• To provide the app and the features you have chosen, including purchases you have made (performance of a contract).
• To understand how our apps are used, fix crashes, and improve them (our legitimate interest in running and improving our products).
• To answer your questions and support requests (our legitimate interest in helping our users).
• To meet legal obligations, such as accounting rules for purchases.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf and under our instructions:

• Apple for app distribution, payments, and subscription management.
• Google Firebase for usage analytics and crash reporting.
• Adapty for validating purchases and keeping subscription status in sync across devices.
• AI model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Replicate), reached through our own proxy, to run AI features on the content you submit.
• Cloudflare for hosting this website and delivering our email.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

International transfers

Some of the providers above operate outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK we rely on adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses approved for use in the UK.

How long we keep data

• Analytics data is kept in aggregated form and individual event data is deleted within 14 months.
• Content sent to AI features is deleted after the result is returned, except for short-lived error logs kept for up to 30 days.
• Purchase records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law.
• Support emails are kept for up to two years after the last message.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy in a portable format. Email hello@escapeplan.software and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Because most in-app data is tied to a random device identifier rather than to you, deleting the app removes that data from your device and severs the link to it on our side. Subscriptions are managed in your app store account, not by us.

Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your data, the app will tell you the next time you open it.
