Get in touch
Email support@escapeplan.software. A person reads every message. Tell us you're writing about Warmelo, which iPhone and iOS version you're on, whether you use headphones (and which), and what you expected to happen; a screenshot helps. In the app, Settings → Contact Support fills in the app version for you.
Frequently asked questions
- My pitch doesn't show. Warmelo needs the microphone. Open iOS Settings → Warmelo and turn on Microphone. Sing a little closer to the phone in a quiet room. With Bluetooth headphones, Warmelo listens through the iPhone's own microphone, so keep the phone near you.
- Do I need headphones? They give the best results: you hear the reference and sing along at the same time. On the speaker, Warmelo plays each pattern first and then you sing it back, so the phone doesn't hear itself. You can choose the mode in Settings → Mode.
- The exercises are too high or too low. Run the range check (Warm Up tab → Your range, which reads Check your range again when a re-check is due, or Settings → Run the Range Check), or tap Adjust on the result screen to move the lowest and highest notes. Each sung exercise moves a half step at a time and never goes past the edges of your range.
- My pitch line looks late or early against the notes. Bluetooth headphones add a delay. Warmelo corrects for the delay iOS reports, and you can fine-tune it in Settings → Timing correction.
- What counts as "on pitch"? The average pitch of each held note, after its first moment, must be within ±50 cents of the target (a cent is a hundredth of a semitone). Vibrato is fine: Warmelo judges the centre of the note, not every wobble. You can make the zone tighter or looser in Settings → On-pitch zone. Slides and sirens are guided but not scored.
- It's too fast. Tap the options button (the sliders) on the practice screen, or use Settings → Tempo (60–120%). The count-in can be switched on or off in both places.
- Does Warmelo record me? No. Sound is analysed live on your iPhone and discarded. Nothing is saved or sent. See the privacy policy.
- How do reminders work? Settings → Practice Reminder sends a local notification at the time you choose on days you haven't practised yet. Renewal Reminders tell you before a free trial ends or a yearly plan renews. Both are off until you turn them on. Separately, a banner in the app reminds you 30 days and again 7 days before a yearly plan renews. For a yearly plan paid monthly (12-month commitment), Apple reminds you before the commitment renews.
- Is Warmelo voice therapy? No. It's a practice tool, not medical advice. Warm up gently, stop if you feel pain, and see a qualified professional about any voice problem.
Subscriptions and purchases
- Cancel or change a subscription: open your device's Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, or use Settings → Manage Subscription in Warmelo. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends. If you pay for the yearly plan monthly (12-month commitment), cancelling stops it renewing when the commitment ends: the monthly payments left in the commitment continue, and you keep access until it ends. To avoid being charged after a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Restore a purchase on a new device: sign in with the same Apple Account and use Restore Purchases on the subscription screen or in Warmelo's Settings.
- Refunds: Apple decides refunds. Request one in Warmelo's Settings → Request a Refund (shown while a purchase you paid for is active) or at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple turns you down and you think that's wrong, write to us and we'll look into it.
